Kathryn (Katie) A. Pelucca

Katie was born in Campbell, Ca January 8, 1923 and passed away on January 5, 2018 at the age of 94. Her family moved to Modesto in 1926. Katie made her communion and confirmation at St. Stanislaus Church and married Edward J. Pelucca on June 10, 1945. They moved to Hickman, CA in 1947 where she took an active part in many farming activities. It wasn't uncommon to see Katie working alongside Ed out in the fields. Following Ed's passing, Katie returned to Modesto in 1999.
Katie is a past president of the Roberts Ferry Mother's Club. She was also a 4-H leader and helped with Catechism at St. Anthony's in Hughson, CA. She served many offices in the Oakdale Ladies Golf Association (Oakdale Golf and Country Club) including Captain. Her favorite hobbies were knitting, golfing, and playing bridge, enjoying the latter two until this past November.
Katie is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Pelucca and brothers Tom, John and Joe Satariano. She leaves behind her brother, Sam Satariano, two daughters, Janice P. Muller (George) of San Diego and Barbara. T. McCleskey of Patterson, two grandchildren, Megan A. Pierce (David) of Ripon and Kyle E. McCleskey of Modesto as well as two great grandchildren, Gregory and Morgan Pierce. Many nieces and nephews also survive Katie.
There will be a visitation at Lakewood Funeral Home, Heritage Chapel, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm, with a Rosary at 5:30.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Church, 709 J St., Modesto, CA on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10am followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to donor's favorite charity.
