Floyd Charles Randolph, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend peacefully left this earth with loved ones by his side on January 8, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Floyd was born December 26, 1949 in Houston, Texas to William Norman and Eula Faye Randolph. The oldest of four boys, Floyd attended Sam Houston High School and had a successful career as an electrician; working in many facets including superintendent for Kenmore and sales representative for Musco Sports Lighting.
Floyd was an avid offshore fisherman and the catch of his life was his wife, Peggy. Together they spent 40 years rewriting the definition of blended family. A devoted father to his 3 daughters, he spent a majority of his time with his family and cherished friends and never once did he meet a stranger.
Floyd is preceded in death by his dear parents and younger brother, Ronnie Randolph. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Jeff and Dana Clary; David and Kim Key, his youngest daughter, Karen Klucznik and brothers David Randolph and Jerry Randolph. Floyd was the proud grandfather and Paw'Paw of 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family with all his heart and cherished each and every friend he made. While they know he is fishing the blue waters of Heaven, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13 at Earthman's Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston Texas, 77060. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in honor of Floyd to bladdercancersupport.org.

It was always good to see Floyd and Peggy's smiling faces when they drove their green and yellow cart down CR 469 to join in some cool adult beverages on a warm summer evening. Floyd never shied away from putting his two cents worth in on whatever was the subject of the evening. I remember in one conversation about grilling and smoking food, Floyd declared "cooking chicken hard". It may have been hard but he did a dang good job of it. We will sure miss him.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Floyd for about 15 years during our Musco days. You could always count on him to crack a joke and brighten your day. Very sorry to learn of Floyd's passing.
Sincerest sympathies to his family and friends, and to all who knew him.

Floyd was one of the original members of the Musco South Region and I was one of the lucky ones that got to work with him. He was always fun to be around and he certainly understood that we needed to get whatever we were working on done so we could get to the important stuff, FISHING!! I will treasure my Floyd memories and our hearts go out to his entire family.

I was fortunate enough to have met Floyd back in 1978, as I was a young apprentice. Floyd was my first foreman for what was then a young small company and Floyd was considered one of the best in the company. I learned quite a bit from the man of whom I have great respect. Many memories, too many to post here, but one I still use today on younger folks new to the business, we were working on a school in Kingwood, and I was driving my old Mustang, from west Houston all the way across town. I was late one morning an he gave me a pretty stern lecture. He seemed so concerned, asking why I was late. I figured he would understand and show compassion! He very politely told me, boy this is construction, you will pass many jobs on your way to your assigned project, now go back home, and tomorrow get up earlier and get your *#% to work on time! Of course he was right, and I was blessed to work many more years with him until he went to work at Musco.
Floyd was always a class individual, our world becomes a little darker, but Heaven a little brighter!
My condolences to your family and friends

Floyd will be missed greatly by all of us who were lucky enough to have called him our friend. We've had the pleasure of his friendship since the early 90's. We know he will be watching over Peggy and his girls from his special spot in heaven where he is now pain free. Rest In Peace Floyd!

All of us on County Road 469 will dearly miss Floyd. Our happy hours filled with fish stories and old memories were the best. There was never a dull moment when the neighbors get together here. I always say "we have an interesting cast of characters" and Floyd was one of the most interesting! RIP my friend.
