Vivian Burks Kidd, 91 of Madison Heights, wife of Edward M. Kidd for 67 years, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018.
She was born in Amherst on September 8, 1926 to the late Douglas and Ethel Burks and was the last surviving of twelve children.
She was a loving wife and mother and known as everybody's Nana due to all the care she gave to her siblings and her siblings' kids and grandkids. Her life was made full with the love she had for her family, gardening, crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite game shows.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Vickey Kidd Blake (Calvin) and Lisa Kidd Hudson (Ray); six grandchildren, Lorri Blake McQueary (Russell), Jennifer Blake, Scott Marshall Blake (Erin), Staci Blake Loeffler (Scott), Danielle Hudson Parker (Jason), and Colton Hudson; five great grandchildren, Aidan James Parker, Blake Augustine McQueary, Cooper Scott Loeffler, Rowan Gardner McQueary, and Maverick Zeppelin Loeffler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I know you will miss her very much. I try to take comfort from the words of an old hymn "when we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be..." I know Vivian's brothers, sisters and parents are rejoicing to see her again.
