Peggy Jane Fletcher passed from this life on January 7, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas. Peggy was born to the late George and Beatrice (McCaig) Cannady in Alamo, Tennessee.
She graduated from Portales High School in Portales, NM and attended Draughns Business School in Lubbock. Peggy married the love of her life, Joe Keith Fletcher, February 28, 1953 in Lubbock. She continued her career as a bookkeeper for Sherwin Williams in Dallas.
After relocating their family to Lubbock she joined the Bellaire Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Peggy loved her family and puttering around in the garden.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Terree Donaldson and husband, Billy of Lubbock, son, Mike Fletcher of Austin, grandchildren, Brant Donaldson and wife, Amy, Brittany Radle and husband John, David Fletcher and wife Heather all of Lubbock, great grandchildren, Brayden Jesse, Amanda Jesse, Sean Radle, Gabby Radle, Addison Donaldson, Brylee Radle, Kane Fletcher and Mary Jane Fletcher, and a sister Rosemary Smith of Lufkin, Texas.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Keith Fletcher and a brother, Melton Cannady
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Nursing and Rehab for their support and care during this difficult time.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 pm Friday, January 12 at the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven with Dr. Richard Rush officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lubbock, TX.
