I spent High School looking up with awe at Dick Aman's skill as a diver, one of the best in the country. (I took up breaststroke instead.) I lost track of him after graduation and was pleased to see that we're both Navy veterans. He was an inspiration, and I look forward to telling him so when next we meet.

Dick was an extraordinary person. At Fenwick High School, Oak Park, IL, he excelled as one of the best spring-board divers in the state, and was a significant force in Fenwick swim teams repeatedly winning swim championships. I wish to convey my deepest sympathy to his entire family.
