Margaret Davis Broaddus, born September 20, 1924 in Caroline County, passed from her pain to her Savior on January 10, 2018.
The daughter of Franklin and Robbie Davis of Blanton, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William. Her parents operated Davis and Allen store, a local country store and car dealership and shop.
Margaret married Herbert (deceased) and moved to South Garden Farm where she spent her life as his wife and farming partner. After his passing, she remained an independent and vital part of her community into her 90's.
She lived her life as a dedicated follower of Christ. She was a devoted member of Bethany Baptist Church, serving as a Clerk, Sunday School teacher, women's missionary leader, a member of numerous committees, and a role model of Christian living.
She is survived by her nephews, William (Chip), John, Greg, and Kelly as well as numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Also remaining to mourn the loss are her dedicated niece, Mary Frances Ward, and her many loving friends and care givers from her church and community.
A service of remembrance will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, living memorial fund, P.O. Box 408, Thornburg, VA 22565.

Mrs. Broaddus was a life member of Historic Port Royal. She loved her community and she was a wonderful part of the history of Caroline County. We shall miss her.
