Doris Ann Dittmann Prieur born March 8, 1933 passed away on January 4, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marie Victor Dittmann and her son David Charles Prieur. Survived by her husband of 63 years, John F. Prieur, Sr. her children Beth P. Galland (Eugene), John F. Jr. (Cheryl), Christopher M. (Gaye), James E. (Laura), Michele M. Prieur, Lisa M. Prieur (Jeff) and Mary Kay Robicheaux. Doris is also survived by her grandchildren Lee Ransome, Cherelle Caravella, John Prieur III, David Prieur, Jacklyn Prieur, Greg Prieur, Ashley Prieur, Jaimie Prieur, Christopher Prieur, Jr. Andee Galland, Darrell Robicheaux, Jr., James Prieur, Jr., Brittany Prieur and Halle Robicheaux.Her great-grandchildren Jagger Ransome, Kellan Prieur, Layla Ransome, Liam Prieur, Riley Caravella, Claire Prieur and Eiley Prieur., Also survived by her sisters Joan Hamilton and June Gibbs and many nieces and nephews. Doris was a graduate of Dominican High School. A member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish, a member of the Hilltoppers Club, member of Les Aimes and St, Jude Society. Special thanks to her care givers during her time of illness, Mary Ellen Johnson and the Sister Servants of Mary. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Jude Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 12pm. Visitation will begin at 9am with interment to follow the service at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
