Mary Etta Morrison, 94, formerly of Prospect, KY, passed away January 13, 2018 at Jefferson Place. She was born April 26, 1923 in Wolf Creek, KY, which was on the Ohio River, to the late Thomas Edward and Annie Lee Cunningham, where her love of the water came to be. She worked on the commercial water ways between the Ohio River and the Mississippi River, until she met her future husband, Norman Lee Morrison. Mary also worked for the Powder Plant during the war times. She was also the assistance manager for Spaulding Laundry for many years, and she had a very strong work ethic.
She attended Grace Immanuel U.C.C. for many years with Norm.
Mary and Norm loved the water, where they had boats, and then traveled in their RV's seeing the countryside. They shared over 65 years together. Mary loved animals, and was blessed to have many during her lifetime.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Taylor-Edrozo (Stephen) of Houston, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 10 am Saturday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 2 until 7.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to KY Humane Society, D.A.V. or Grace Immanuel U.C.C.
