I am honored to have known and called this amazing man Papa. I will always remember the smile that he had anytime his family was around. Family really meant the world to him. I will miss our family gatherings with papa and papa at the head of the dinner table. He will truly be missed.
I thought this saying was fitting: He kept at true good humor's mark, the social flow of pleasure's tide: He never made a brow look dark, nor caused a tear, but when he died. Thomas Love Peacock

Papa was a man who loved his family above all else. Joy to him was being able to have his family close by & his great grandchildren grew to love him in the short time they knew him. He will be greatly missed.

A good joke.
The Atlanta Braves.
A cold beer.
Sunshine.
Running.
Gardening.
Home.

Papa loved all of these things. But above everything, he loved his family and friends. And we loved him.

Rest In Peace Papa. We will miss you, but you will live in our hearts forever.

Papa was gifted with humility. He was no better and no worse than the next person which made it very easy to be around him. I was always excited to visit him. Every time I was in his presence I felt a calmness and I become tearful missing that experience. The byproduct of his humility is that he passed down this wisdom through his actions. Well done, Papa! Our love is with you always...

HASTA LUEGO -

When the Sun Shines tomorrow
I will be here at home remembering,
My Hector went to Heaven - to the Lord.

The Angels came and took him.
It was time for him to go,
To the Kingdom of my Jesus
to enjoy eternal peace and love.

It will be Hasta Luego.

Soon the Angels will be back
to take me to Dearest Hector,
who is waiting with our God.

And our loved ones will be coming,
we shall wait for them to depart,
For there will be a feast tomorrow
many coming from way, way far.

Have patience Dearest Hector,
Hasta Luego won't be long.
Soon we'll be together and never,
ever be apart.

God Bless you,
your loving wife.

Fresh Again:

Although mortality slowly slips away,
love is never lost.
It is a reminder of the world
when it was fresh, when it was new and
full of joy!

Even now that reminder
makes me feel eternal.
My life is your life,
My soul shares your soul.

Another chapter closes, but
the memory is warm and happy.

Long Live Papa in the eternity of our hearts....

Dad was a real man, my man, my hero and if I am able to follow him to heaven, I will be the proudest angel sitting at his side.

Carlos and Marilyn Velez

Gladys and Family,
Marilyn and I were deeply saddened to learn of Hector's passing. We both have very fond memories of him -- mine from the picnics and other family gatherings throughout the many years I've called Huntsville my home, and Marilyn's from the time her parents, Rufino and Vidalina, were your and Hector's good friends at Ft. Bliss, Texas. Marilyn let Vida know of Hector's passing, and she also expressed her great sadness at his passing. May your and your family's loving memories of Hector bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time. God bless and keep you all.

What an inspiration to us all - Hector Sr. was a distinguished Soldier and Veteran, a loving husband, and a strong role model and father to wonderful children. Debbie and I were blessed to know him through his son Hector Jr. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

Dear Gladys and family,
While we are greatly saddened by Hector's passing we are also joyful over the life that he lived. His love of God and family came first. He was a man of great character, respected by all who knew him. The world is a poorer place without him. Sincere condolences to you and the entire Ramirez family. May Hector rest in peace. We were very saddened to hear of Mr. Ramirez's passing. He was a second father to us and we will cherish the great memories we have of him from childhood to our last visit with him in September. May you be comforted by the many great memories you have of his love, generosity, loyalty, service to others, and his great sense of humor. May God take him into his loving arms and give you the strength and comfort needed at this time.

I am truly thankful to have had the opportunity to have been a care giver for you for almost four months . If there was ever a man who was an example of simple, kind-heartened goodness, it was you Papa. I will truly miss you.

Lamento su perdida. Que Dios les de la fortaleza que necesitan y consuelo en sus corazones. La biblia dice en Salmos 46:1."Dios es para nosotros refugio y fuerza, una ayuda que puede hallarse prontamente durante angustias."
