Thomas J Lehmkuhl, age 74 of Kettering, Ohio, passed away Monday January 15th, at Hospice of Dayton.
Tom was born on October 8, 1943 to the late Clarence and Leola (Meyer) Lehmkuhl.
Tom enjoyed ballroom dancing with his best friend and loving wife of 53 years, Rose Ann, who survives. Playing cards was a favorite activity for Tom who was a member of the same card club with Rose Ann for over 47 years. Tom loved his grandchildren and enjoyed playing board games and cards with them.
He is survived by 5 children; Kevin and Melissa Lehmkuhl of Spencerville, Todd and Marjorie Lehmkuhl of Kettering, Carrie and Greg Thomas of Madeira, Brian and Janet Lehmkuhl of Hartford, Michigan, Jason and Erica Lehmkuhl of Haleiwa, Hawaii, 17 grandchildren; Katie ( Tyler), Tommy, Emily, Nick, Jessica, Madison, Devin, Ashley, Chelsea, Taylor, Erika, Scott, Mitchell, Joey, Lucas, Paige and Troy, 2 great grandchildren; Christian and Lucas, sisters and brothers; Lillie Bruns, Jim and Phyllis Lehmkuhl, Dave and Marlene Lehmkuhl, Janet and Ray Harting; in laws Phyllis Echemann, Shirley Echemann, Rafe and Barbara Echemann, Tom and Janet Aselage, Phil and Eileen Myers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother and sister in laws Jack Bruns, Mary Ann Lehmkuhl, Bob and Ruth Shieltz, Howard Echemann and Ted Echemann. Tom was a member of Ascension Catholic Church where visitation will begin at 10:00am on Friday January 19 with a mass of Christian burial at noon. I am very sad to hear of Tom's passing. I remember many a great night of card playing with him and the entire family. He was always very kind to me even when I was a stupid teenager. He will be greatly missed.
