Sorry to hear about JJ. I lived at the end of San Juan Avenue and remember a lot of good times with all of the gang in the old neighborhood. I was the youngest of the gang and never had any brothers, so JJ was more than just a neighbor. I loved shooting hoops on his basketball goal with the uneven hard dirt to dripple on. Christmas was always special because of the light display JJ and his Dad would string up in the huge fir tree in their front yard. I'm glad to read JJ had a chance to work with other kids as the Scoutmaster of Troop 38 which was my Boy Scout troop back in the 60s. I'm glad Lynn Hurley will officiate the service. I've not seen Lynn since the 60s. I moved from Macon in 1978. Thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I will look forward to catching up with JJ when we both meet again in that glorious place we call Heaven.
