PROCTOR, Elizabeth Ann (Duff) , age 89, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at University
Village nursing care in Tampa, Florida. She was born on September 29, 1928 in Libertyville,
Illinois.
Ann moved to Florida in 1945 to attend Florida Southern College in Lakeland. She
married Robert Earl Proctor in 1948. Ann earned a Bachelors Degree in education from the
University of Florida in 1949, and then moved with her husband to Tampa.
Ann was a member of Spencer Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Bible classes for
more than 30 years.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Robert, her parents, Ralph Tyler Duff and Sarah
Helen (Ingraham) Duff, and her brother, Ralph Sidney Duff. Ann is survived by her
daughter, Penny Noriega (Brian), her son, Gary Proctor (Sharon), and four grandchildren:
Amanda, David, Amy, and Hilary.
A brief graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m at the
Garden of Memories Cemetery at 4207 E. Lake Avenue in Tampa, with the Reverend Valerie
Storms officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Byrd Alzheimer's
Institute at the University of South Florida.
