Carolyn was born in Okema, Oklahoma to the late Joseph and Lottie Thompson Starkey on July 21, 1926 as the oldest of ten children. She married C. T. Rosson in Oklahoma and they moved to Arizona in 1948 and raised four children. There she worked several years at George Y Wah Market in Tolleson. In 1973, she married James Cook and they moved to Sun City. After his death in 1976, she obtained a job at TG&Y where she would later retire. While working at TG&Y, she enjoyed sewing the newest patterns for display at the store and would often make herself a new blouse over the weekend to model. She loved clothing, shopping for a bargain, a good auction and cooking for her family and her friends at church. Her home was full of treasures, great stories, and you never left hungry. Carolyn was active in her church while she was able and enjoyed taking Bible classes. Her love for the Lord came up in almost every conversation. She prayed constantly for her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Tom Smith; one granddaughter and two grandsons; one brother and three sisters.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Carolyn Smith, Doris Brown and husband, David, Paul Rosson and wife, Heidi, Chuck Rosson and wife, Jeannie; one brother and four sisters; 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Chuck and Jeannie Rosson for caring for Carolyn during the last chapter of her life.

On behalf of Believers Family Fellowship Church, I'd like to express to the family of Carolyn Cook, our love and peace at her passing. Your mother, grandmother and friend was very dear to us. Her one great expression was to be with, Jesus! We pray for peace and comfort for all Carolyn's beloved family. Pastor Irene Gonzalez

My deepest sympathy to the family. Our loving Creator invites us to approach Him in prayer, to pour out our hearts to Him. May He grant you peace, strength and comfort during this time of sadness. Psalms 116:15
