John Albright Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 17, 2018.

John (Jack) Eldredge Albright, of Cave Creek, Arizona passed away on January 12, 2018 at the age of 79. Jack was born to Harold and Zella Albright in Volga, SD in 1938. Soon after high school he joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1969. During his service he was awarded the bronze star and was a Vietnam Veteran. Jack married his wife Dixie, November 30, 1959. The couple moved to France and had their first two children Joel and Jeff. After returning to the United States and moving several different times they returned to Jack's hometown of Volga, South Dakota and had their next two children Jennifer and Jon. In 1986 they moved to Arizona, where he remained until his death. Jack loved to dance with his wife, Dixie and it was amazing to watch them together. Jack loved spending time with family and some of his favorite memories were having the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren spend time together in Missouri where the days were spent fishing, swimming, kayaking, going on adventures and shooting. The nights were spent laughing, drinking, dancing and watching the fireflies. Jack loved playing cards, drinking scotch and having a good cigar. He and Dixie would play Buck every morning with their coffee. He also loved his dogs Ebony and Patsy. They were always snuggling with him. Jack was quick witted and always had a twinkle in his eye. There was laughter every time you had a conversation with him. He was a hero to his children and grandchildren and probably the strongest person we will ever meet in our lives. We are forever grateful for all of the love, support, hugs and laughter he has given us throughout our lives.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Dixie and survived by his children Joel Albright, Jeff Albright, Jen Albright, Jon Albright; daughter-in-law Robin Albright; son-in-law Matt Johnson; grandchildren Carrie Mason, Tara Albright, Nathan Albright, JJ Albright, Jessica Albright, Adrianna Albright, Meghan Albright, Kaylee Albright; grandchildren-in-law Matt Mason, Sarina Albright and Krystal Albright; great grandchildren Owen Mason, Tucker Mason, Breckin Mason, Jasper Mason, Christian Albright, Grace Albright, Emma Albright and Ava Albright; dogs Ebony and Patsy Cline.

Celebration of Life services will be held in Cave Creek, AZ at 4:00 PM January 20, 2018. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the American Heart Association, the Kidney Foundation, or charity of your choice.
