Keith Mackie Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 17, 2018.

My name is Cathy and I had the privilege to be married to Keith for almost 42 years. I always told him that 40 years were good. Laughter was a part of who we were. His mother (Carol Poff) and I had the honor of holding his hands as he went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2018.
He had three "favorite" children and 8 amazing grandchildren, Kendra (Bill) Crowell, Austin and Kaylee, Kyle (Nikki) Mackie, Gavin, Kyra and Karder; and Candace (Kevin) Daugherty, Bailey, Cassidy and Kendall. All of us felt he was a special man, and from the outpouring of love and support from our family, church family (Victory Hill), work family (Ralston Foods), and people he met along the way, we know we are not the only ones that felt that way.
Keith has three sisters; Chris (Mike) Varnell, Jennifer (Wayne) West and Dana (Brad) Marsh, and inherited in-laws, Cheryl (Lloyd) Locke and Dennis (Cheri) Noland.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Tencza, Dr. Olenki, Dr. Blakaj, and Dr. Ginty, for making us feel like family. To the wonderful men and women who work at the James and especially the Pickering House, may God continue to bless all of you! You have been given special gifts.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 23rd, 2018 at 11AM at the Victory Hill Church with Pastor Tim Teague officiating. Burial is to follow at Baugher Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 1-3PM & 5-8PM. Arrangements have been made through the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME.

Cathy and Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Even though we didn't see you often when we did it was always filled with joy and laughter. He was fun to be around and kept that joy throughout his sickness. A well loved and genuine man of God. A great example to us all. Sincere sympathy and lots of prayers for you all. Love.

Sorry to hear of Keith's passing. His humor will be missed. We shared a lot of good and hard times growing up. He was always such a clown and pulling some kind of prank. He was so much fun at our family reunions. He certainly has left a huge void with his passing, but hopefully we can all think of happy times with him to ease the pain. I hope you all find comfort that he is no longer suffering and in a better place. Love to all.
