Shirley Louise Massie, 81, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on January 18, 2018. She was born on August 10, 1936 to James Lloyd and Doris Agnes (Martin) Clark in Dallas, TX.
Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Seagoville High School and attended Eastfield College. She was a homemaker until her youngest child graduated high school, and then began a career with the Dallas Independent School District for over 20 years as a teacher's aide. Shirley was the sweetest lady you could have ever possibly known and was the epitome of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and she truly loved her Lord. Shirley was not afraid or shy about professing her faith in Christ and repeatedly blessed those that came to minister to her. Her family was her greatest pleasure in life and she has left a legacy of that love that is obviously apparent to anyone that meets her decendants.
Preceding her in death are her parents Lloyd and Doris Clark, husband of 56 years Harold Massie and son David Massie.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Paul Massie (Pam) of Seagoville, Dennis Massie of San Diego, CA, Teri Gant of Seagoville, June Stone of Seagoville and Susan Hardie (Curtis) of McIntyre, GA; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Londa Jean Whitley (John); brother-in-law Kenneth Massie (Joyce) and daughter-in-law Michele Massie Fetsch (Rick) and a host of extended family members and friends that will miss her dearly.

Shirley was an incredible woman. I spent alot of time in her home as June and i were growing up. I lived there most of the time and Shirley mothered me just like her own child. So many memories from the chocolate gravy she made us before school and having lunch ready for us alot of days so we did not have to eat school food. She would take June, me, Sweet pea and Kristi cruising around Seagoville before we were old enough to drive. She has left each and everyone of us with some great memories to hold onto forever. She will always have a special place in my heart. Hugs and prayers for everyone..Rest in Peace mamma Shirley .

Shirley will be missed greatly. Our son, Curtis married her daughter, Susan. I remember the first time we went out there to visit. She and Harold made us feel as if we had known the always. My late husband, Jim, and
I shared many happy times with them.
She is rejoicing now in Heaven with
her family and Our Lord Jesus. I love
you, Shirley.

My prayers are with you all......Shirley was such a good woman. Seems like yesterday Paul, Dennis, Ricky and myself playing riding our bikes all day. I can remember like it was also yesterday we would all run in the kitchen thru the garage for a drink, to rest or watch tv. Shirley was always in the kitchen. Our childhood and those times are so special to me - we are blessed to have had that. What wonderful memories over the years.....
Love you all so much,
