Cecile "Cece" Rose Jefferson passed away peacefully on January 18, 2018 at 91 years young. Cece enjoyed careers as a dance teacher and radio broadcaster after being the first of four women to graduate from Tulane University. Cece enjoyed practicing as a marriage and family therapist later in life, after returning to school at age 45 and earning her Master's degree in professional counseling. Cece loved dancing, golf, tennis, card games and anything that involved gambling.
From her first marriage, Cece had three daughters. She gained a son when she married Albert "Jeff" Jefferson. Jeff was the love of her life and they set an example of a beautiful marriage. While Cece took great pride in her careers, she considered her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the "jewels in her crown". She will be missed by her loving children, Dr. Larry (Nancy) Jefferson, Candi (Arnie) Wuhrman, Cheri (Michael) Mannes, and Dr. Cathy Kass and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family. Grannie Cece will forever be missed by her eight grandchildren (Zachary, Irene, Elizabeth, Jessica, Cassie, Alexander, Michelle, and Joshua) and seven great-grandchildren who lovingly called her GG.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Clarehouse in Tulsa or Emanuel Synagogue in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be Monday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Hebrew Cemetery.
