Eunice M. Peeks age 79 of Lincoln passed away on January 19, 2018. She was born on September 13, 1938 in Gering, Nebraska to Theodore H. and Helen B. (Howe) McCosh. She attended schools in Gering and was a member of the high school band. Eunice attended the University of Nebraska where she earned her bachelor's degree in piano performance. She was member of the Zeta Tau Alpha social sorority and the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity.
Eunice married John Hummel in 1960. They raised their two children Steven and Gretchen in Central City. She met Ed Peeks in 1990 and they were married on September 10, 1994 in Lincoln, where she resided until her death.
She was a member of PEO Chapter AI, and Sheridan Lutheran Church.
Eunice is survived by her husband Ed of Lincoln, sons, Steven (Lynn) Hummel of Brainard, Nebraska, Brian (Jeanine) Peeks of Lincoln, Eric (Michelle) Peeks of Astoria, NY, Jason (Sarah) Peeks of Marshall, WI, Aaron (Jennifer) PeeksMease of Harrisonburg, Virginia, daughter, Genelle (Mike) Parrish of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, sister, Joyce Levander of Central City, 15 grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ruth McCosh of Goodyear, AZ, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary (Elsie) Peeks of Arkansas, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gretchen Hummel, brother, Don McCosh, brother-in-law, Richard Levander.
Celebration of Life Service: Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Sheridan Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Music Program at Sheridan Lutheran Church, Lincoln Municipal Band in Eunice's name or Donor's Choice.
