Mr. Bauer often came into my store. Occasionally he bought something but mostly he came in to talk. As others have mentioned, he had many stories to tell and I enjoyed listening to every one of them. It was obvious he loved and missed his Ann. Rest well Mr. Bauer. You will be missed.

Dan was a great friend. He always had stories to tell. He enjoyed helping us rake and bale hay. We met Dan and Ann the summer of 1998 which was a hot summer and hay was scarce. Dan and Ann were driving around looking for hay, stopped at our farm and that's how we became friends. Dan loved to eat at Four Winds Steak House in Wills Point so we went there many times over the years. We will miss both Dan and Ann.

Dan was a very nice man with a very big heart .
Dan often told the story he had a girlfriend and she was 2 years old . Aspen Kate Gober
They were best friends and Dan always brought her a strawberry blizzard or shake . And to top it off Dan even would bring a shake in for Aspen for us to put it in the freezer if he new he wasn't going to be able come in. They loved to play together. Aspen went several times to see her Dan after He had his stroke which made him smile.
