Harold Gene Rummerfield, age 82, Overland Park, KS, passed away January 19, 2018. Visitation 10AM Saturday, Jan. 27, at Gregory Hills Church, 7020 James A Reed, with funeral 11AM. Burial at Floral Hills.
Gene was preceded in death by his granddaughter Brianna. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Betty; children Dennis Rummerfield (Stephanie) and Sharon Kramer (Jerry); grandchildren Kenneth Rummerfield (Kristen), Ryan Rummerfield, Kelly Rummerfield, Rachel Rummerfield, Katie Town (Sam), Kevin Kramer, Brittany Kramer, and Makayla Kramer; sister Darlene Bauer, and niece Judy Bulson (Merrill).
Gene worked at Hallmark Cards for 40 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather attending all of their activities. He enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time at the lake. He took meticulous care of his cars. He served on the church board for 22 years at Gregory Hills Church. Gene was a devoted spiritual leader for his family.
