Miss Addelyn (Addy) Willise Cox went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Addy was born on December 14, 2017 in Atlanta, GA, a daughter to Jonathan and Katie Cox.
Her first breath and cry were a miracle unto themselves. Our family was so blessed to be able to spend five wonderful weeks getting to know, care for, and love our daughter Addy. Her personality, mannerisms, sounds, facial expressions, and the pure joy we experienced holding and cuddling her will forever be a part of us. In addition, she touched deeply the hearts of family and friends that prayed with us and kept in touch through the sharing of pictures and correspondence. She was truly a gift from God, and we take great comfort in knowing that she is with Him and in His care.
Addy is survived by her loving parents, Jonathan and Katie Cox of Statesboro; paternal grandparents, Ricky and Belinda Cox of Glennville, GA, and Barbara and Dexter Cason of Uvalda, GA; maternal grandparents, Byron and Kelley Keel of Marietta, GA; aunts and uncles, Kimberly and Blake Hill, Christopher Keel, Courtney Cox, Austin Cox, and Trevor Cox.
The family will receive friends from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
A funeral service for Miss Addelyn Cox will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, with Dr. Michael Lewis officiating.
