Dear Sims family, when I was a young teenager, I heard the Reverend Dr. John Ed Mathison share this story about Mr. Sims. John Ed said something like, "Mr. Sims was walking down the sidewalk. He was attacked by a man. The only thing he had to defend himself with was a bag of Vienna sausages. The attacker ran away when Mr. Sims hit him on the head with the bag of Vienna sausages." After the sermon, I walked up to Mr. Sims and said, "Mr. Sims, you sure are brave for fighting off that attacker with a bag of Vienna sausages." Mr. Sims said, "Alex, that wasn't me. That was my father" and started laughing. I can still hear Mr. Sims in my head laughing and encouraging me when I was a teenager until I became a man. Whenever Mr. and Mrs. Sims knows that I'm coming home to visit, they always invite me to church and out to lunch. I am so thankful to have known Mr. Sims. Well done good and faithful servant. P.S. If there's any Vienna sausages in heaven, please save me some, Mr. Sims. Love, Alex Palomaria (Los Angeles, CA)

Paul was a great dedicated Christian man whose faith was passed to many he came in contact with. He held my hand and prayed with me before three major surgeries. He will be welcomed by Gods angels. Will be missed by all.

Praying for you all. Mr. Paul was a wonderful, kind, caring man of God. I remember him coming to the hospital to pray with me before surgery, as he did for so many. Our loss is heaven's gain. If anyone heard the Lord say "well done my good and faithful servant" it was Mr. Paul. So many feel the weight of your loss as he meant a lot to all of us who had the great pleasure and privilege of knowing him.

Diane and Paula,
Heaven just became a little brighter as Paul's light, not extinguished, but joining those already lighting heaven and glorifying the Lord. Paul blessed us all with his faithful service. You will miss him, but be comforted by all the promises he and you claim. They were true yesterday, are true true today, and will be true tomorrow, for our God is faithful and true and will surround you with love.

What a wonderful man Paul Sims was and he touched oh so many Lives! He was such a humble man and that is what I always loved about him. Nothing but just simple for him and he liked I thtat way. He never wanted credit for all the things he did because He wanted the glory to go to the Lord! Such a servant! We loved him dearly and I will miss his big hug and big hand when he held mine so many times while praying for a loved one. May the Lord be with you Dian, Paula, and Elizabeth as you prepare to say goodbye to your wonderful husband, father, and poppy! God bless you!
