Imogene Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 21, 2018.

Mildred "Imogene" Anderson, 88, of Mountain Pine passed peacefully January 20. Imogene was born in Buckville to the late Pleas and Vela Benson.

Imogene preferred the outdoors- vegetable gardening, chopping firewood, and especially mowing her lawn. Her longevity is blamed on Pepsi and Cheetos; two dear friends, Wilma Robertson and Linda Scott, who started Imogene's days with phone calls full of laughter; and L.B. and Boomer, her furry four legged companions.

Welcoming Imogene to Heaven will be her brother, Mervan Benson; her son, Danny Anderson; and her husband of fifty-three years, R.L. Anderson.

Imogene took care of everybody, but was especially proud of being "Mamo" to her grandchildren, Kristal and Jonathan Caldwell. Cherishing her memory will be her daughter Shirley Anderson Jones (Jimmy) and large extended, well loved family, including her nephew and neighbor, Eugene Anderson, who will officiate her service.

The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice for kindness and care they gave Imogene.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, January 23 at Gross Funeral Home. A Celebration of Imogene's life will be held Wednesday, January 24 in the chapel at Gross Funeral Home at 10 am with burial to follow at New Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Covey, Jason Black, Tony Anderson, Johnny Anderson, Larry Anderson and Greg Cowart.
