Penny Buck, 75, died on Saturday.
She was born on March 16, 1942 in Burbank, CA. She went to John Burroughs High School and graduated in 1960, beginning her career as a phone operator at Pacific Bell. She met Richard Buck on a blind date, and were married shortly after. They were married up until he passed away in 2007.
She really enjoyed decorating her home, taking camping trips with her husband and their dog Cody, and sewing clothes for her family. Penny was an avid Dodgers fan, and could always be found with a glass of iced tea her hand. Also, Penny loved going out to restaurants, such as Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake.
Thanksgiving and Christmas were very special for Penny, as she loved having the family over, preparing delicious meals, and giving presents to her children and grandchildren.
Penny is survived by her three children: Richard, Terry and Chris, and her grandchildren: Shannon, Jayme, Camryn and Sarah. She also is survived by her brother Bruce, sister Kim, niece Bryanna, nephew Taylor, and great niece Scarlett.
The funeral will be held on at 1 pm on Thursday, January 25th at Valley Funeral Home.

Dear Penny, you were always a good friend to me. A kind genuine soul that never was unkind to anyone, a true lady. We should all learn from you. We shared many hours working side by side and also shared laughter and tears together. I will miss you Penny.

Penny was always so very sweet and kind. We met through our mutual friend Sylvia. We had some fun times on girl's night outings. Riding in her classic Chevy was always fun on the way to Bob's Big Boy. Thank you Penny for always showing kindness in all you said and did. You will be missed.
