Maxine Hillhouse Brown, age 80, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Monday January 22, 2018. Maxine was born July 18, 1937. A visitation for Maxine will be held Wednesday & Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Chapel service will occur Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Noonday Baptist Church Cemetery, Marietta, GA.
Maxine was longtime member of Noonday Baptist Church and had retired as a Records Clerk with the Cobb Police Department.
Maxine is survived by; daughter Wanda and husband Terry Lanning; daughter Sherrill Gravley; and son Russell and wife Rita Brown; brother Harvey Hillhouse and sister Marie Storey; grandchildren - Steven Lanning, April Brown, Brian Woods, Gary Ledford, David Jordan; great grandchildren - Conner Woods, Ashton Jordan, Gracie Rowland Brown, Cody Ledford, and Christopher Ledford.

I always looked forward to my hugs from Aunt Maxie at our family reunions. I will miss those hugs and will always love her. I'm glad I always told her that when I would see her and she always smiled at those words, because she knew that I meant them.
