Jerry was the school nurse in every building in which I was a principal or assistant. The students, parents and staff were blessed to have this fantastic professional provide for the good health of thousands of children as she implemented state and district guidelines for our student's well being. The professional manner in which she gave personal attention to the health and well-being of our students and staff set a very high standard of care for school nurses.
May God bless Joe and Wendy and their families in this time of sorrow, and may I be forgiven for not making it to the Memorial service for this beautiful person.

Jerry was very innovative in the healthcare of the students at Channelview ISD. She was my high school nurse and later my mentor as I became part of her team. She was famous for her organization and delegation skills. Her ideas and approach to school nursing were always a step ahead of anyone else. I am privileged to have called her my friend and coworker.
