John Yap Tan, 78 of Houston, TX died at home on the afternoon of January 21, 2018. He was a loving, generous, funny, and caring person. He was born on April 20, 1939 in Manila, Philippines to Adam Tan and Siok Boon Tan. He suffered a major stroke in December 2013.

John is survived by his daughter Nancy Tan and son Howard Tan with wife Rachel Tan and granddaughter Ruth Tan. His surviving siblings are Ellen Lim, Leah Tsai, Sonia Ong, Monica Barry, Leesha Keller and Christina Tan.

His memorial service will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10 am in Earthman Southwest Funeral Home 12555 S Kirkwood Rd, Stafford, TX 77477.
