June M Koepke, of West Bend, WI age 95, passed away Sunday January 21, 2018, in Boulder, Colorado. She was surrounded by the loving support of her granddaughters and great-grandchildren, as she joined her husband Chester who died November 30th.
She was born on August 12, 1922 to Rubin and Susan Averbeck in Fond du Lac, WI. On February 26, 1944 she married Chester Koepke in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary in 2017.
June was a dedicated mother to her children, celebrating family holidays and supporting close family bonds throughout her life. She and Chester enjoyed vacation traveling, including camping with her children and grandchildren. An accomplished seamstress, she especially enjoyed making outfits for Christmas and other special events for her two granddaughters.
June is survived by her son Michael and Son-In-Law Nelson Berg; grandchildren Rebecca and Kathryn Koepke; step-grandchildren Jennifer Berg and Jolinda Stapleton: great-grandchildren; Summit, Elle and Miles; step-great-grandchildren; Caroline, Sidney, Sara and Isabelle; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Chester Koepke on November 30, 2017, her daughter Patricia Koepke, and her brother Dean Averbeck.
Interment and a memorial service will be held at the "Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church" at a future date.
