Mario Estrada, 88, of Lake Mary passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Mario was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the son of Antonio Estrada and Francisca Padilla. He served our country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for many years as a supervisor in the printing department of the electric company in Puerto Rico; before he and his wife moved to Florida to retire. He married his bride Miriam in 1958 and they shared 56 years of marriage until her passing in 2014. Mario was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood. He enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Tampa Bay Rays, Atlanta Braves, and the Orlando Magic. He also enjoyed woodworking in his younger years and was the family cook! He spent much of his retirement "taxi-ing" his grandchildren.
Mario leaves to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Miriam Rodriguez and her husband Carlos, and Wilma Santa and her husband Jose, four grandchildren Nicole Rios, CJ Rodriguez, Andrea Estrada and Jose Santa, two great grandchildren Anthony and Julian Rios, and his beloved pups Zoey and Pudge, all of Lake Mary. Also surviving are three sisters Lilo, Aida, and Jenny. Mario was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers Miguel, Jose, and Victor.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel of Sanford. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Nativity Catholic Church in Longwood. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Park Cemetery of Sanford.

I hope that our Lord brings you and your family the much-needed peace during this sad time. My condolences to you and your family. I now Tio Mario was loved and will be missed. He is now with Titi Miriam, Panchita and some of his siblings. I will never forget his kindness. May his soul rest in piece.

Sientimos mucho la partida de Don Mario. Me acuerdo que cuando era una niña, Don Mario iba a casa a jugar dominó con mi Papa Ramon Battistini y varios amigos más de la Autoridad.
