Mary Patricia Ostraff, 90, of Burbank passed away Jan 16, 20 18.
She was born to the late George Edward and Lillian Davis Sweeney, July 30, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA. Mary graduated from North Hollywood High and received a Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. She married the late Harold Ostraff, but divorced after having a daughter, Patricia Ann Ostraff.
Mary worked at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center as a Physical Therapist and lived her entire life in North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Studio City and Burbank, CA. She had a special love for Tai Chi, in which she was active in volunteering. Mary was detail oriented and assisted with clerical work for the Tai Chi community.
Mary was compassionate and enjoyed hearing about the lives and adventures of her family and friends. She was an outgoing individual who made people laugh with her witty sense of humor. Mary was spiritual, caring and a loyal friend. She was passionate about her turtle named Bonsai, which she had for over 30 years. Mary recently donated her turtle to Burbank Scales N Tails to make sure he had a loving home.
Mary is survived by Lloyd Champagne Sr., of Scottsdale; Charmaine and Paul Berggreen; their two daughters Elise and Nicole Berggreen, of Paradise Valley; Lloyd and Laura Champagne Jr.; their four children Lloyd III, Leighton, Lacey & Liv, of Phoenix. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann Ostraff and her sister Sarajean Sweeney Champagne.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Salvation Army. Dignity Memorial Funeral Home will make burial arrangements based on her wishes and there will be a private celebration of life on Feb 3rd for family and friends.

Mary, such a wonderful woman!!! My heart aches at this time for the loss of her. I will write more at another time about this great lady as, at this moment, I am grieving deeply. I just found out, late, last night, of her passing. Much love to you, up in Heaven, Mary!!!
