The Celebration of Jerry's Life
We are here to celebrate your life.
And the measure of its worth.
And every single life you touched.
While you were on this earth.
We wish to pay our last respects.
That's why we all are here.
To thank you for your friendship.
And all the memories we hold dear.
Its been a privilege to have known you.
We were family not just friends.
And we will carry you in spirit.
Until we meet up once again.

Dear Grace,

I was saddened by the passing of your beloved Gerry. I remember, like it was only yesterday, that Gerry and George were born to Aunt Bert and Ferris Hoggard in 1937.

I'm not sure that we have ever met. Ferris, Jr., and Edsal were part of the Early cousins when we gathered in Aulander at Grandmother's home in earlier days.

My wife Barbara and I send our sympathy on your loss and prayers to you and your family.

I will always remember how excited he would get when he would hear the boys were coming from Virginia to the condo. And he would always get the boat ready for them. They loved him so much . I want to offer my sincere condolences to Grace and her family for the loss of a very special person. I have lived above Grace and Gerry for nine years and they have always treated me in a very special way. Gerry always made me laugh in one way or the other and I will miss him dearly. RIP Gerry

Dear Grace, Beth and Abby; so sorry for the loss of Jerry; husband, daddy, papa, a great friend to all who knew whom. Tony and I were fortunate to have many wonderful adventures (and they were adventures) with him and were so honored to call him our friend. Memories of those special times will be etched on our hearts forever. When we think of him, which we will do often, we will smile. Jerry loved you all with his very being and you were totally his pride and joy. May God's love, peace and guidance be with you and bring you thru this difficult time. Peace be with you my dear friend.

I will always treasure the time we had together through the years, from High Point and Aulander to your homes in the Tidewater area.
Rest peacefully, my dear cousin, you deserve it.
Love, Jane Early Goodman
