John E. Owens, 71, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Lakewood Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with funeral services to follow in the chapel. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Owens was born on July 3, 1946 in Scott County, MS. He worked for Delta Steel then went to work for Blackwell Chevrolet as a body man for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Ernest and Jackie Roberts Owens.
Mr. Owens is survived by his wife, Liz Owens; children, Robert F Yoakum (Wendy), Chris Ingram (Connie), and Angi Jessyl (Jim); grandchildren, Taylor Ingram and Presley Yoakum; brothers, Sonny Roberts (Mable) and Jack Owens; his nieces, Becky Dunn (John) and Andrea Owens; and his best four legged buddy, Abby.
