Diana Powers, 81, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on January 24, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Diana was the first of three children born to Francis Clark and Monica Kennedy on January 19, 1937 in Amsterdam, NY. She graduated from St. Mary's High School where she met her husband of 43 years and soulmate, Maurice Gerald Powers. Together they raised a beautiful family of 6. She was loving, kind, and the ultimate mother who devoted much of her time to family, friends and faith. She was a tremendous cook and baker, whose recipes will always evoke fond memories! Her love of dogs was passed on to all of her children and grandchildren as well.
Diana was preceded in death by her beloved husband Maurice and son Michael. She is survived by her sister Audrey; brother John; children Maurice Jr., Mark, Mary, Martin & Matthew; grandchildren Alaina, Andrew, Paul, Michael, Makenna, Jordan & Daniel; and great grandchild Emma. She will be remembered often, and always with a smile, and will live forever in our hearts.
A mass to celebrate Diana's life will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on March 3 at 11:00 AM. All who wish to share a memory or leave condolences for the family can do so at www.greenacresmortuary.net.

Thinking of you all, and praying for comfort, peace and love and laughter. So sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. Whether expected or sudden, or if you think you are prepared, or not,it is still a loss. Take time to heal and grieve. Try to live every day with some joy!!!

Those we love love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
