Aaron Lee Eckburg, 48, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on June 1, 2019, from catastrophic aortic dissection.
He was born April 16, 1971 to Ronald L. and Diana J Eckburg at Burlington, IA.
He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, dedicating his life to Jehovah God on April 26, 1986. His greatest passion was helping others to learn God's wonderful promises for the future from the Bible.
He met Lizzie Schmidt, the love of his life, and they married on March 10, 1996. He was a volunteer minister, in addition to serving as a ministerial servant and elder in the congregation. He loved cooking, golf, and entertaining. He was co-founder of go lb. salt, and worked with chefs throughout the Phoenix area. He worked extensively in insurance sales, being one of the foremost experts in the field of flood plain insurance requirements in Maricopa county.
He is survived by Lizzie, his wife of 23 yrs, his parents Ron & Diana, 3 brothers and 1 sister, Daniel, Mathew and his wife Audra and their boys Noah & Ian, Leah Eckburg Jewell and her husband Dustin, Ethan and his wife Audrey, his grandmother Emily Carkhuff, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 4:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 12450 E Mountainview, Scottsdale, AZ 85259.
