I had the good fortune to know Joyce for over thirty years in connection with Dolly's Dollhouse. She loved her store and her customers. She maintained such enthusiasm over the years. Joyce always got excited about the chance to show her customers the new merchandise. She was so pleased to often see the second generation of customers; people who had loved coming to Dolly's Dollhouse as children then brought their children to enjoy the shop.
And Joyce loved her family. I feel like I got to know family members from discussions with Joyce.
Joyce was a wonderful person.
My condolences to her family. I know they miss her.
Happy Birthday Joyce! I hope you get your kitten.

I was a friend of Joyce for a few years and she was a wonderful woman. We shared a passion for miniatures, an entrepreneurial spirit and a love of comedy. Many laughs were shared at Dolly's Dollhouse throughout the years and she will be missed. Thank you, Joyce, I hope there are cartoons and Carol Burnett reruns in heaven for you.

I'm very proud to be a part of the Icon, which is "Dolly" of Dolly's Doll House. My father rented the space to her in 1980. I helped my father with his rentals from the 1990's until we sold the building in 2008. My father and I fixed things together at the Doll House, until he passed in 2002, and then I fixed things. My father was very fond of her, as was I. Her passion, dedication, and love for her business and customers was extraordinary. It was a pleasure to serve her and what she did for the community. I am lucky to have had such a lovely friendship with her. Janice Kintner

I lived in the Woodland View Apartments for five years and had the pleasure of meeting Joyce a.k.a Dolly, and getting to know her somewhat. We even called the apartments "Dolly's Dollhouse" after her store. She was a special woman. Her creativity, her sweet smile, her pleasant conversation and her kindness are qualities that I admired in her and will miss. I send my sympathies and condolences to her family and friends.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. Her store was an absolute delight and she was always so helpful and enthusiastic about all of our dollhouse projects. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts go out in earnest to her family and loved ones. - Sarah Conradt-Kroehler
