Michael Shaun Moore, 34, of Toledo, Ohio died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1981 to Kim and Patricia (Harmon) Moore. Michael graduated from Swanton High School in 1999 and completed his undergrad studies at Bowling Green State University. He was currently a doctoral student at The University of Toledo, studying Spatially Integrated Social Sciences.
Michael was a huge fan of golf and the Detroit Tigers. He also loved attending many Notre Dame Football games. Michael had a passion for craft beer and enjoyed exploring and learning about breweries. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and contagious smile.
Michael is survived by, significant other, Jeanette E. Eckert, mother, Patricia A. Moore; siblings, Lynsey (Richard) Corwin, Andy Moore, Kiel Moore, Matthew Moore; niece, Angelee Coleman; grandmother, Mildred Harmon; beloved dog, Magglio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by, father, Kim Moore; grandparents, Richard Harmon, and Wilford and Beatrice Moore.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday April 14, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr. Swanton, Ohio 43558, where the funeral mass will begin at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Richard Cemetery. Memorial gifts should be made payable to The University of Toledo Foundation, Attn: The Geography & Planning Progress fund #2400432, 2801 West Bancroft Street, MS#319, Toledo, OH 43606. My and my family's heartfelt condolences go out to you. We know so well what this pain is. I remember Mike fondly at Park. He was a good kid. Take solace in the fact you raised a fine young man.
