Stephanie Haydee Cartagena Dunaway, 20, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 8, 2018. Stephanie was a woman filled with light. She touched the heart and souls of every person she came in contact with. She had an amazing smile that was always contagious. Through her struggle with cancer, Stephanie made it a point to remain positive, and continue to live life to the fullest. She was the personification of strength and courage. She is loved by so very many, and will be greatly missed. Stephanie loved the color of mint green; loved eating sushi, Foosackly's shark gummies, taquis and Honduran Cuisine. Her favorite movies were "Beauty and the Beast", "Atlantis", "El Dorado", "Emperor's New Groove" "The Book of Life", and "Wonder Woman" (the latter being the perfect movie for one as strong as Stephanie). She also enjoyed watching the "X-Files" and "Doctor Who". Having an artistic soul, Stephanie enjoyed spending much of her time drawing and painting. She was also a huge fan of the music of Coldplay, Jon Bellion, Lana del Ray, Gorillaz, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Queen, and My Chemical Romance. Stephanie liked playing the violin and ukulele. She spent a lot of her youth dancing, and culminating her talents for her biggest passion as a member of MDBCG (The University of Alabama Million Dollar Band Color Guard). Roll Tide!
